Joey started doing music because it was his outlet for self-expression. "I needed a creative way to convey what I was feeling and the best way to express myself was through my music. Whether I was in a good mood, angry mood, sad mood, it didn't matter, as long as I was able to use my music as the tool to say what I otherwise may have had issues saying through my everyday regular speech." Joey always had a creative mind and his main motivation was the like-minded people he keep around himself, as well as supporters who inspire me to keep pursuing music. Joey says his motivation comes also from people who doubted him as a child. Now Joey Tre' is doing the very things they always said he couldn't do. All in all, he looks at music as freedom. Freedom to express himself in any way, freedom to bring positivity to the world with a God-given talent, & freedom to spread good energy & vibes through song.
